Information You Provide Directly
- Account Information: Email address and display name when you create an account.
- Profile Information: Profile photos, payment handles (Venmo, PayPal, CashApp usernames), and travel preferences.
- Trip Data: Trip names, destinations, dates, accommodations, flights, transportation, dining reservations, and event information.
- Expense Data: Expense amounts, descriptions, merchant names, receipt images, and payment splits.
- Participant Information: Names, email addresses, and phone numbers of people you invite to trips.
- Communications: Messages, comments, and activity feed posts within trips.
Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers for push notifications.
- Usage Data: How you interact with the App, including features used and actions taken.
- Push Notification Tokens: To send you notifications about trip activity.
Information from Third Parties
- Contacts: With your permission, we access your device contacts to help you invite friends. Contact data is only used locally and is not stored on our servers.
- Photos: With your permission, we access your photo library for receipt images and trip photos.
How We Use Your Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App
- Create and manage your account
- Enable trip planning and expense tracking
- Facilitate communication between trip participants
- Send push notifications about trip activity
- Calculate expense splits and settlement amounts
- Generate payment links for settling balances

Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database service. Data is encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL and at rest using AES-256 encryption. Some data is cached locally on your device for offline functionality.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
Information Sharing
With Trip Participants
Other trip participants can see your name, profile photo, expenses, votes, RSVP status, and activity feed posts.
Third-Party Services
- Supabase: Cloud database and authentication
- Expo: Push notifications and app infrastructure
- Resend: Email delivery for invitations
Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal requests.
Your Rights
- Access: View your trip data, expenses, and profile within the App.
- Correction: Update your profile and trip data through the App.
- Deletion: Delete individual trips and expenses, or your entire account via Settings.
- Notifications: Manage preferences in Settings or device settings.
Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
California residents have additional rights: right to know, right to delete, right to opt-out (we do not sell personal information), and right to non-discrimination.
European Privacy Rights (GDPR)
