Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using TRYPS (the “App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

TRYPS is a collaborative trip planning application that allows users to plan trips with friends, track and split expenses, and coordinate travel logistics. The App is provided by TRYPS (“we,” “our,” or “us”).

3. Account Registration

To use the App, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Upload content that is offensive, defamatory, or infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
  • Use the App to send spam or unsolicited communications
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions

5. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create in the App (trip details, expenses, photos, messages). By posting content, you grant us a license to host, store, and display it as necessary to provide the service.

You are responsible for the content you share. We may remove content that violates these Terms.

6. Trip Collaboration

When you create or join a trip, other participants can view and interact with trip content. You consent to sharing trip-related information (expenses, votes, activity) with other trip members.

7. Expense Tracking and Payments

TRYPS provides tools to track and split expenses. We facilitate payment links to third-party services (Venmo, PayPal, Cash App) but do not process payments directly. We are not responsible for disputes between users regarding expenses or payments.

Expense calculations are provided for convenience. Users should verify amounts before settling balances.

8. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

9. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by TRYPS and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the App.

10. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the App's Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We are not responsible for any losses arising from your use of the App.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TRYPS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TRYPS from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms and updating the “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
